The main task is to compensate the enormous heat development and thus to prevent the light source from damage.

Combined with a clever design of the housing this concept ensures the necessary cooling. For special applications, like clean rooms, products versions with a passive cooling system has been developed. A massive housing, designed as a heat sink, controls the heat dissipation and avoids the need for a cooling fan.
